'10x12x9.5 Modified Deluxe Barn Storage Shed' (Normal, IN)
|
I modified the 10’ X 12’ Deluxe Barn Storage Shed Plans to extend the loft to 6’ X 9’ and raised the loft by 5 inches to give more headroom underneath. And, as you can see in the picture above, I used vinyl siding rather than car siding and added windows. We have received many compliments from neighbors and friends and are very happy with how it turned out.
Thanks T.J. Designs!! |

All in all, The project was an enjoyable one. The materials list and layouts were accurate and very useful.
The barn is beautifully Proportioned and any one can appreciate why it can be called deluxe.
You can be assured we were rank amateurs. The most challenging job was getting it level to begin with.
Creating a jig for the rafters worked very well. When I set up the rafters, everything lined up.
You can see I added a window for light. I had no trouble making the adjustment.
I was only able to purchase 6-in siding so I had to apply some math to your bill of materials. It worked out fine also.
It doesn’t show here, but I added drip edges on both the eves and the rakes, and I added a ridge vent.
I look forward to many years of use.
